Peter Gelb, although making some highly controversial casting decisions in the past (coughKimasZerbinettacough), has certainly done well, at least visually, on the new Richard Eyre production of Carmen, starring Garanca, Aldrich, and Vizin (the last two replacing la Draculette and Olga Borodina). With the likes of Alagna, Kaufmann, Kwiecien, and the less well known but equally hot Jovanovich and Tahu Rhodes, it's easy to be jealous of Carmen...
